INSPIRE

Inspire has been passionate about seeing the power of football being used for positive change since 2010. We are tackling some of the hardest social problems and believe if we can inspire the next generation to become agents of change, we can work towards a fairer and more equal society in which to live. With a ball in one hand and a Bible in the other, Inspire is building a movement of people working in unreached areas to share the love of Christ.

THE NEED

At Inspire we believe every child should have access to an education, and that is why our Champions program gives scholarships to children in our football academy who can’t afford to finish their formal education. These kids come from unreached people groups who struggle to meet their basic needs. For them, having a computer or laptop is a luxury. By having this computer classroom, we hope to build stronger relationships through scheduled classes, with more opportunities to mentor them and share the gospel.

We also run many training programs to raise up Christian leaders. These leaders came from different backgrounds and provinces with populations of non-believers. Through the Inspire Training Program, we teach them different topics and enable them to use football to become an inspiration to their communities. Through the computer class, we will help them to make the training process run more smoothly.

THE PROJECT

We want to transform our empty room at Inspire Arena Bandung-West Java into a computer classroom. We desire this room to be used to empower 250 youth and coaches annually, to increase their knowledge of IT while improving their quality of life.

Our vision is that this computer class will be a place where they can improve their skills, while providing opportunities for us to mentor them and share the love of Jesus.

Story

Dadan was a player on the Inspire Academy team eight years ago. We mentored him through our cell group, football and non-football activities (i.e. English class), and gave him opportunities to hear the gospel message. Ultimately, he responded to all the ways we loved him by deciding to follow Jesus.

Eight years on, Dadan is now coaching young people in the largest unreached people group in the world, working to reach them with the gospel. Our desire is to see more young people like Dadan make a decision to follow Jesus, using their skills and gifts to reach others and helping to build the Kingdom in Indonesia.
