PAK7 is a TV and Social Media ministry for Pakistan. We want to see hearts reached and lives changed by the gospel. We have just launched a satellite channel aimed at kids and young people and have a team of Pakistani young people making programs for that channel and for national TV.

There are around 24 million 11-15 year old teenagers in Pakistan! That’s enough to go right around the equator if they all held hands!  But Christian kids are a tiny minority and are often looked down on or given a hard time by their fellow students because of their faith. They don’t get many opportunities to feel proud about who they are. We want to give Christian kids and young people role models they can relate to, and reasons to celebrate their faith.

We want to make a program specifically for 13-15 year old teens with sets and music they love, that explores topics they find interesting and that makes them feel proud about who they are in Jesus. An important part of this program is the music. Nearly all Pakistani Christian music is traditional and a bit old-fashioned.  Pakistani teenagers tell us they want pop or hip-hop music and a show that isn’t for little kids. We would like to request your help to commission a set of songs for our next show in a hip-hop/contemporary style, make great music videos and then show them on the TV show and You Tube for young people to watch.

Story

When we started PAK7 3 years ago, one of the challenges we faced was a lack of young Christian media professionals. So, our very first show was a reality TV show for young Christian amateur filmmakers.  Sana was one of the first contestants on that show, and she won a place on an 8-week PAK7 Media School that has changed her life, “I’ve always wanted to be in media, to tell stories through film, but as a Christian woman in Pakistan, I didn’t have the opportunity. Thanks to PAK7, I’m now a team leader making social media videos and I just directed my first short film!”
